Norwegian horror films are continually making their stamp on the zeitgeist, and Eskil Vogt’s “The Innocents” is the latest to do so.
“Kajillionaire” is another enjoyable indie hit from directory Miranda July.
“Portrait of a Lady on Fire” plays out very much like the painting of a masterpiece. It takes its time, slowly sketching out the skeleton. Its movements are careful and tender. Eventually, the details are filled in, and all of the elements come together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
“Parasite” has been hailed as not only the best film of the year, but one of the best films of the decade. The hype is rightfully earned.
