Meet the Founders
When the Tar Heel football social media team approached Zach Goins and Jake Lawler about filming a brief video review of “Avengers: Infinity War,” they quickly agreed. After the 240 seconds ended, they knew they wanted more, and so, the Inside The Film Room podcast was born. Now, Inside The Film Room spans across mediums, as both a weekly entertainment podcast and an online vertical, each breaking down the latest news and releases in film, television and pop culture.
Zach Goins is a film critic and entertainment reporter for CLTure.org, and an accredited member of the North Carolina Film Critics Association. Zach graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 with a B.A. in Reporting. At Carolina, he spent four years playing defensive back for the Tar Heels and served as a senior writer for The Daily Tar Heel for three years. Zach has covered film festivals, interviewed Oscar-nominees, walked red carpets and regularly attends advanced media screenings.
