Bonus Features: Start spooky season early with ‘Friday the 13th’ 8-Movie Collection

With spook season nearing and the year’s only Friday the 13th right around the corner, Paramount Home Entertainment is capitalizing on the abundance of fear with a brand new eight-film “Friday The 13th” collection.

In the 1980s, horror lurked around every corner in the movies. From Freddy Krueger to Michael Myers, it was the golden age of slashed franchises, but no monster was as iconic as Jason Voorhees and his iconic mask and machete. Whether he was terrorizing teenage counselors at Camp Crystal Lake or storming down the streets of Manhattan, Jason’s creative kills always had viewers on the edge of their seats.

This new collection features all eight films from the ’80s (“Friday The 13th,” “Friday The 13th Part 2,” “Friday The 13th Part 3,” “Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter,” “Friday The 13th Part V: A New Beginning,” “Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives,” “Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood,” and “Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan”), as well as the uncut version of the original “Friday The 13th.” Each film is included on a Blu-ray disc, as well as in a digital copy, and the first four films have each been newly remastered in 1080p.

When it comes to bonus features, the “8-Movie Collection” is gushing more than the neck Jason’s victims – the only catch is that it’s all previously-released content. Still, for any newcomers to the series or longtime fans looking to add to their collection, there’s plenty to explore.
