Bonus Features: Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy are back in ’48 Hrs.’ films on 4K Blu-ray

The unlikely duo trope has long been a classic in the movies, particularly in cop films. More often than not, though, the pair are just two coworkers who rub each other the wrong way. Rarely does a rough-and-tumble officer pair up with an actual convict for an adventure.

That’s exactly what Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy do in “48 Hrs.” and “Another 48 Hrs.,” and now the classic action-comedies are getting the “Paramount Present” 4K treatment. The limited-edition releases come in collectible packaging featuring foldout posters of each film, as well as a digital copy.

While “Lethal Weapon” may get the credit for kicking off the buddy cop trend, “48 Hrs.” flipped it on its head by teaming renegade cop Jack Cates (Nolte) with bank robber Reggie Hammond (Murphy). The result is as thrilling as it is hilarious, as the pair hunt down a team of cop killers.

Beyond the restoration of the film itself, the bonus features included are very bare-bones. Let’s take a look.
